Choosing & Styling Cushion Covers

A small, considered combination is often enough. Begin with the size you need, then choose a shared colour and a contrast in pattern.

01

Cover and insert are different

Check whether the product is a cover only or includes an insert. Measure your insert's width and height and compare them with the listed cover size. Confirm the closure and reverse-side appearance where those details matter to you.

02

Build a small palette

Choose one calm base and one stronger line or pattern. Repeat a colour already present in your bedding, sofa or artwork so the cushions relate to the room instead of introducing several unrelated accents.

03

Vary scale, not everything

Combine a larger, quiet pattern with a smaller accent, or pair a patterned cover with a plain one. Check dimensions before mixing square and rectangular shapes. Leave enough sitting space on the sofa.

04

Bring the combination together

Compare covers within the collection to review their actual listed dimensions and colours. Use the quiet-bedroom room edit as a starting point, then save only the pieces that suit your own room.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered

Something not covered? Write to mail@saeshliving.com.

Does a cushion cover include the filler?

Not automatically. Check the individual product's contents before ordering; a cover and an insert are separate components.

Do all cushions need to match?

No. A repeated colour with a controlled contrast in pattern or shape can connect different covers without making them identical.
