Choosing Your Bedding Size

Start with your mattress measurements, not just a Queen or King label. A few simple checks make it easier to find the right bedding.

01

Measure the mattress

Measure width, length and depth in the same unit. For fitted sheets, check the stated pocket depth as well as the surface dimensions. A Queen or King name can differ from one brand to another, so compare actual measurements.

02

Flat sheets and bedspreads

For a flat sheet, allow extra fabric for your preferred tuck and coverage. For a bedspread, add your preferred drop on both sides to the mattress width, and consider the fall at the foot. Measure the space between the mattress top and floor if you want a near-floor finish.

03

Check what is in the set

Read the individual product's set contents. A bedsheet set, bedspread, throw and pillowcase pair are different items. Confirm the number and size of pillowcases, whether the sheet is flat or fitted, and whether styling accessories are included.

04

Compare before choosing

Use Compare on the collection cards to review listed sizes and available options side by side. An option name does not establish its exact measurement; where a size-specific measurement is not listed, confirm it before ordering.

05

Care for the finish

Follow the care label supplied with the actual piece. Washing temperature, drying and ironing depend on its composition and finish; do not assume every item has the same care requirements.

Is King bedding always the same size?

No. Compare the actual listed measurements with your mattress. For a fitted sheet, mattress depth matters too.

How much bedspread overhang should I allow?

Choose the drop you prefer on each side and add twice that drop to your mattress width. Check the length and the fall at the foot separately.
